Signed Kay Bojesen vintage teak elephant Danish modern
Vintage teak jointed elephant toy by Kay Bojesen, made in Denmark ca. 1950s. In excellent vintage condition. Jointed legs and trunk. 5” high with trunk in “closed’ position, 6 ¼” long (also with trunk closed). About 3 ¾” wide across at tips of ears.

You are admiring an original vintage 50's Kay Bojesen wood animal sculpture/toy.This is Bojesen's wooden elephant. Designed and made in the 1950's in Denmark. Made of solid wood ( Not lite oak reproduction) with beautiful wood grain and a wonderful abstract form with in excellent condition. He has moveable head , feet , and a trunk which moves up and down .They are moving smoothly and are still tight. Signed on the bottom Kay Bojesen Denmark (see photo). Actual measure sizes are approximately 4 1/2 inches ( bottom to the back) to 5 1/8 inches (bottom to head) tall and 6 1/4 inches to 9 1/4 inches ( with trunk extended) long in large size.
